Silicone kitchen accessories and gadgets are becoming widely popular as more and more people begin to realize the versatility and durability that these products have to offer. Not to mention the fact that they are extremely heat-resistant, easy to clean and can lead to many ideas for ingenious products - such as the Silicone Roasting Sling. This wonderful slab of silicone rests on the bottom of your roasting pan while your meat, poultry, or fish cooks to perfection. When it’s done and ready to be taken out of the pan, simply grab a hold of the two handles and lift out your meat. No more tearing your beautiful dish apart by stabbing it with knives and forks, or leaving half of it in the pan as it slides off the bone while you’re lifting it out. Simply lift out the silicone sling and lay it out flat wherever you want your roast to easily lift it out from under the meat. It’s non-stick so your meat won’t stick to this either and it’s dishwasher safe for even easier cleaning. And you’ll never have to worry about burning or melting this wonderful tool - it’s heat-resistant up to 315 degrees Celsius!

Kitchen Gadgets from the Tool Shed

There are many wonderful kitchen gadgets on the market but there is one that I have been using for years that not many would consider as a kitchen tool but rather a workshop tool - these are pliers! I prefer the long nose type so that I can easily get into small spots with them if I need to but any kind of pliers and any brand of pliers will most likely do the job. I started using pliers in the kitchen to take the membrane off the back of my ribs quickly and easily and now, I use them for so many things, including opening plastic bags that sometimes cause diffficulty to breaking the steam seal between a lid and a pot. I’m sure you could find a use in your kitchen for just about anything in your tool box but the pliers have to be my very favorite! You can pick a pair up for as cheap as three pounds!
