Sharp knives in the kitchen are an absolute must-have and they can greatly save on the cost of replacing good knives when all the old ones need are really just a good sharpening. But keeping one of those long steel poles that needs a knife flung at it just to be sharpened can be a somewhat frightening experience. This Salter Professional small appliance works electrically to sharpen all of your knives for you by using a process of rotating ceramic pins that are designed criss-cross to each other. At £60, this knife sharpener only costs a few more pounds than those long steel poles and well worth it considering how easy and hassle-free they make things in the kitchen!

Price: £60

One of my pet peeves in the kitchen is making a salad full of fresh lettuce only to watch it as it starts to turn brown seconds after cutting it. I have searched endlessly for something that wouldn’t bruise my lettuce as I cut it and now, I have found it! The Trudeau Lettuce Knife cuts lettuce easily with its serrated edge and because it’s made entirely from plastic, the edges aren’t sharp, leaving your lettuce green! It’s that same plastic edge that allows you to cut anything on a non-stick surface, which means that the lettuce knife becomes a very handy tool to have in your kitchen! It’s lightweight and comfortable to hold and its bright green color means that it’s one more thing that I can find easily in my drawer! Add to your kitchen with this knife that will do all those jobs that no stainless steel knife can for only £1.50!

Price: £1.50

I found this stylish herb chopping set made out of bamboo, I’m sure it would look good in any kitchen!
After chooping up the herbs there is a tray underneath to sweep the herbs onto and transport. Found this at John Lewis.

This is one one easy-to-operate kitchen gadget. It has four four interchangeable stainless-steel blades and can perform tasks such as to core and wedge an apple to slicing a zucchini. All slices are moved into the removable, closed container.
